At Bioseutica®, we specialize in providing non-GMO, ultrapure bioactive proteins and functional foods derived from eggs and the pancreas. Our egg-based proteins, such as Lysozyme, Avidin, and Ovotransferrin (Conalbumin), are renowned for their powerful natural antimicrobial properties and are widely used in food processing, safety, animal health, nutrition, hygiene, and pharmaceuticals. The Bioseutica® Group includes Neova Technologies Inc., Fordras SA, and Healiva SA. Neova Technologies Inc., located in Abbotsford, Canada, brings four decades of expertise in bioseparation and protein fractionation and is renowned for its quality and customer service. Fordras SA, based in Lugano, Switzerland, has been a trusted partner in the pharmaceutical and food industries since 1983. Healiva SA, also in Lugano, Switzerland, was established in 2020. This innovative biotech company focuses on delivering affordable, precision therapeutics to enhance quality of life. Healiva SA employs a comprehensive approach, integrating digital health, enzyme technology, and cell therapy to meet the needs of patients in regenerative wound care.

The origins of Bioseutica extend back to 1947 with the birth of PROSPA Pharmaceutical Companies, Solar Group, and SPA (Società Prodotti Antibiotici), which formed the foundation of what is today Bioseutica. In 2007, the shareholders of Bioseutica acquired Neova Technologies Inc. and its plants in Europe and Canada, a company specializing in developing and producing natural proteins and pancreatic enzymes.

Rodolfo Ferrari and Carlo Callerio founded the Italian company SPA (Società Prodotti Farmaceutici) to manufacture Penicillin and Lysozyme

1950

Collaboration between SPA and Sir Alexander Fleming to develop a large scale Penicillin and Lysozyme production company

1974

SPA established first lysozyme plant on industrial scale at NIVE Nunspeet The Netherlands

1983

SPA estabilished Fordras SA specialized in Lysozyme API sales worldwide and R&D in Lugano Switzerland

1995

Canadian Neova Technologies Inc. started Lysozyme production in Zeewolde The Netherlands; Starting cooperation with Kaken for developing the new polyen AMCIPATRICIN

2002

Fordras SA spins off from Italian company SPA, LMC BV starts Lysozyme API and AMCIPATRICIN molecule production

2007

Merger of Fordras and Neova Technologies under Bioseutica BV

Consolidation of egg white extraction in The Netherlands and pancreatic enzymes in Canada
